Crushed marble stone is a form of construction aggregate, typically produced by mining a suitable rock deposit and breaking the removed rock down to the perfect size using crushers. Some marble is crushed and used in many applications, with many other types of crushed stone, most notably for road and highway construction and repair. A relatively small amount of marble is used in cement and lime production.
Marble as dimension stone is used for construction of buildings: 40% of the marble is cut as rough blocks which is used for building construction; another 34% is used as finishing stone where the marble is cut into thin sheets, slabs and veneers that are given a very high polish and used to finish or cover walls, floors and the exteriors of buildings.
Marble grinding process
Big marble materials are fed to the jaw crusher evenly and gradually by vibrating feeder through a hopper for primary crushing.
After first crushing, the marble will transferred to impact crusher or cone crusher by belt conveyor for secondary crush; the crushed marble materials will then transferred to vibrating screen for separating.
After being separated, the marble that can meet standard will be taken away as final products, while the other parts will be sent to grinding mills for further grinding. Size of final products can be combined and graded according to customer's specific requirement.
